GCA’s enrollment is open to children ages 12 months to 5 years for the Childcare Center and ages 5 to 13 for the
Before and After-School Program. Gentle Care Academy operates on an August through May and June to August schedule. The hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Enrollment is on a yearly basis. Tuition is due weekly.

Immunization Requirements
Georgia requires students to be immunized against measles, mumps, polio, rubella, whooping cough, tetanus, diphtheria, hepatitis B, haemophilus influenza, and varicella. Beginning July 1, 2007 changes in Georgia law now requires the following for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students as well as rising sixth graders.

The pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) for children five years of age or younger.
The number of
doses needed will depend on the child’s age.

A second dose of the varicella (chicken pox) vaccine or provide laboratory proof of immunity

A second dose of the mumps vaccine

Two doses of the Hepatitis A vaccine or provide laboratory proof of immunity (for children born on or
after January 1, 2006).
A Certificate of Immunization (Georgia Department of Human Resources Form 3231) is required as proof of the immunizations. This form is available from a physician or the health department.
