Staff Requirements

1. Teachers are highly trained and must meet the GCA's Standard of Qualification and Experience
2. Ensure that programs are based on current knowledge of child development and early childhood education
3. Respect and support families in their task of nurturing children
4. Respect colleagues in early childhood education and support them in maintaining the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct
5. Serve as an advocate for children, their families and their teachers in community and society at large
6. Maintain high standards for professional conduct
7. Recognize how personal values, opinions and biases can effect professional judgment
8. Be open to new ideas and be willing to learn from the suggestions of others
9. Continue to learn, grow and contribute as a professional
10. Honor the ideals and principals of the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct
